Try them all to find the method that’s best for you and your home setup. Get the Zambuto and never look back.Let’s look at the different ways to cast or mirror content from your Mac to a Roku. I do think Terry Ostahowski is a very good choice, and a few others that folks have mentioned as well, but to me, in this tight of a price range, this is a no-brainer. Carl's 14.5" will out perform a regular good 16" any night. Given similar aperture, like your aperture range, contrast is everything! And Mr.Zambuto is widely recognized as having a superior contrast. That's why I'm having him make my soon-to-be 20" f/5. In short, everything about Zambuto screams out quality and contrast. Carl adhears to the Millies-Lacroix tolerance as well. This and the laser polish both contribute tremendously to contrast. ![]() Carl goes to extremes to have niether a turned down edge, nor a turned up edge. Like Ostahowski, his mirrors are polished to Laser standards. Your 14.5" Zambuto price is accurate, you have been to his "Mirrors" page at the website obviously, so you might already know this stuff. In a while from now (not known exactly) the switch to Schott Supremax 33 will be complete and the price will go up. Super annealing = super stability on the grinding table as well as in the field. He anneals it to a very high precision anneal. Right now Carl is slumping down pyrex to reuse. Pyrex 7740 is soon to be running out of availability. I do not know what your timeline is, but I would not wait around too long with getting a mirror from Carl Zambuto-if you want Pyrex 7740. The man is called "legendary" for a very good reason. For the $200 difference why not go all out? Great value retention if you want to go bigger some day. ![]()
